Bitter pill for JvD Power powered JJ racing Team at Rotax Max International Trophy in Le Mans —

In the junior class all drivers showed a promising pace throughout the week. Dani and Lucas started the final in the midfield due to contact in the pre-final. With a first starting position for Mike in the final, victory was in sight. An exciting final followed, with lots of changes for the first position. Meanwhile, Dani was gaining many places and caught up with the leaders of the race. Eventually Mike crossed the line first, but he received a fairing penalty. Dani impressively finished fourth. Luck wasn’t there for Moritz, Lucas and Kaï, as contact with other drivers compromised their races. Nonetheless, they put up a great fight to make the best out of their situation.

In the Senior class Vincent had to continue with his strong race pace from the heats. Starting the final from the 12th position, there was a long way to go. Unfortunately Vincent got pushed wide in the opening lap, which cost him dearly. After many overtakes he crossed the line 8th, but due to a fairing penalty he became 12th. For Mario, it was an event to forget quickly with a crash in his final, causing a DNF. The results:

4 Dani van Dijk
6 Mike van Vugt (P)
20 Moritz Schmeiß
23 Lucas Schoenmakers
27 Kaï Rillearts

12 Vincent France (P)
DNF Mario
